Like earlier year groups before them, the Year 11 and 13 Classes of 2022 were sent off in style with a 'Goodbye Breakfast' for Year 13 and pizzas served to Year 11. Celebration assemblies, lead by Headteacher Mr Andrew Cooper and the customary shirt signing then followed.
Peter Vinten, Head of Year 13 said "Lots of students were awarded for their dedication to the wider life of the school as well as commitment to different departments. We were also treated to final performances by the fabulous Y13 Gospel Choir members and one last rendition of the Stepping show that was so popular during the Black History Month Showcase in February. This was then followed by a tear-jerking farewell from Head Girls Heidi and Izzy".
Dave Margett, Year 11 Learning Manager added: "All of Year 11 have worked incredibly hard this past academic year and, despite all the disruption that the last 2 year has thrown at them in regard to their learning, they have shown resilience and strength, facing everything that has come their way. It has been a pleasure being their Learning Manager for the past 4 years and, their commitment and dedication to their GCSE studies has been exceptional and they should be proud of themselves. I wish them the best of luck for the future whether it is with us in Post 16 or at other educational establishments.
